My Review
I love fall! Autumn is my favorite season. I often joke that I spend a significant portion of my year waiting for the chance to wear my Ugg boots, and sip my Pumpkin Spice Latte (Yes. I know I’m basic.) All my friends know that I stock pile pumpkin flavored items all year round.
My love of Fall is a big part of the reason that I so thoroughly enjoyed Laura Brigg’s latest book, A Spirited Girl on Cornish Shores. Although I read it in the midst of a ninety degree heatwave in July, I was immediately transported to a crisp Cornish autumn.
Reading A Spirited Girl on Cornish Shores gave me the same warm fuzzy feeling I get when I sip my favorite pumpkin flavored beverage- only better! The book has a distinctly Cornish flavor and all of the characters are great fun.
I read this book while I was recovering from a rather painful surgery and it was such a delight. It helped me to forget my discomfort and and transported me to a romantic setting with just the right amount of mystery. I read the entire book in an afternoon (its actually quite brief) and as soon as I had finished reading it, I went straight to Amazon and purchased the first book in the series. I had a delightful stay at the Penmarrow Hotel and I can’t wait to return.
A resounding five stars for A Spirited Girl on Cornish Shores and I can’t wait for the next one in this quirky and fun feel-good series!

Synopsis: A Spirited Girl on Cornish Shores (A Little Hotel in Cornwall Book 2)
It looks like a perfect Cornish autumn, with aspiring novelist Maisie Clark still finding inspiration as a maid at the historic Penmarrow Hotel.
